Building on the success of The Gobbins, Phase II – Horizon Walk will further enhance this unique coastal experience and strengthen its position as a major visitor destination on the Causeway Coastal Route. The project will introduce a carefully designed ‘over the edge’ viewing structure, providing visitors with a unique vantage point over the Irish Sea and the coastal passage below. Enhancements to the cliff-top pathway will include an accessibility-friendly bridge, soaring 50 metres above the sea and the path beneath.
A new Exploration Hub, supported by a purpose-built access road, will provide an enhanced starting point for visitors, while improvements to the existing Visitor Centre will improve accessibility, visitor flow and the overall visitor experience. With accessibility and environmental stewardship at its core, Horizon Walk will deliver an exhilarating and inclusive year-round destination, reinforcing The Gobbins’ position as one of the island’s most iconic coastal experiences and a key highlight of the Causeway Coastal Route.
